I'm sure you guys have watched 300, a great action (yes action, not epic) movie about (who else but) Leonidas and the brave 300. You have? Ok. Checked.
Rodrigo Santoro (Charlie's Angels, Love Actually, and some Latin movies or soaps or whatever) also played in that movie, that, if you even notice that there's an actor named Rodrigo Santoro. Cause I think he is more famous for being in E! 100 Hollywood Hot Bods than being an actor. In short, he is hot. Many girls would agree on that. So I was like okay sure he perfectly fits to play in 300, and I thought jadi siapa sih ah paling anaknya Kapten yang kepalanya ditebas itu kali ya. The hair, the eyes were matching and stuff. I was pretty sure that he's the Captain's son.
And big oops, it turned out that I was wrong. Dan coba tebak lho sodara-sodari. Who was he in that movie? Tidak lain dan tidak bukan, it's Xerxes!! Yes, Xerxes the great. Yang kata orang2 yang nonton bareng gw minggu lalu, "itu yang jadi Xerxes tampangnya jangan h*m* banget lah". So Tika called me last night only to tell me that shocking news. And no I still can't believe it nor buy it. Matilah. Gak rela gw Rodrigo Santoro dibilang g*y-ish.
~gak penting tapi shocking.

Shop Till You Drop
*this may sound shallow, but what the heck*
For you guys esp. women in need of working suit or some preppy collection with a lil bit of mod style attached to it who happen to be in shortage of cash these days (but have been saving for the discount season) but have not been noticing this, good news for you all, TOPSHOP Senayan City has been in sale for several days now. BIG TIME. But not all items, no. But you'll be surprised of how much they're cutting down the prices. I don't know when the sale will last, so just get your ass to the Senayan City asap.
But I'm sorry for you girls who happen to be in size around 6 to 10, you'll find it hard to search for your size as almost all that's left is in size 16.
And this is not for those shopper who shop for indulgence cause you know the room was kinda a lil crowded than usual, but what the heck, we NEED those clothes.
~TOPSHOP is indeed the TOP SHOP.

I had my moments in Port Dickson
I really can not remember when was the last time I felt as content and happy as I did in the last trip I had. Taking a day off from the office and leaving all my unfinished business in Jakarta behind, on Friday morning I left for Port Dickson, Malaysia, a beautiful beach (altho I didnt have time to walk around the beach whatsoever) located just 1 hour drive from KL. What happened there was Kumon Completers Club Malaysia Annual Gathering and I was very lucky that I got invited to attend the gathering.
The theme for the gathering was T.E.A.M (together everyone achieves more) and the idea of the activities were outbond and team-building activities on Saturday and formal discussion about KCC on Sunday. I went to countless team-building trainings (yes I included MK in the list) but only a few had had real impact on me and this training is for one. Not to mention that they invited a professional trainer, Zareena Aziiz, a Singaporean native who has been giving services to major companies, such as Accenture (huhu gak jauh2). Our adventure includes finding way to get out of real forest only using compass, spider-web, and my favorite yet, Solo Drop. The latter was the game when they drop you one by one at some quite place and let you have your time alone to reflect and write about your feelings until they pick you up when the time is up. I was really having a quality time at the solo drop. More than I could imagine.
The night after we went back to the resort, we had some cooling-down games at the ballroom and also the dance! My friend Han, the president of KCC Malaysia taught us this terrific dance (can only be done in pairs). And everyone was having fun from the Kumon Staff to the completers. The age gap (from 10 to whatever) didn't matter anymore. I loved it. But unfortunately we couldn't stay up so late because the next day we would be having presentations and discussion and Adhi (my fellow completer from Indonesia) and I myself had to prepare (final touch) for the presentation about KCC Indonesia. Also doing the presentation was Jacqueline from the Philippines. Thank God the presentations were a success and we seemed to learn from each other's KCC.
After the discussion and presentation was finished at 3pm, everyone was getting ready to head back to either Kumon Office in KL or straight to the airport. I was really shocked to learn at the last minute that I had to go straight to the airport cause I had to catch a plane at 9pm. I hadn't had a decent goodbye with everyone, so I felt relly emotional. I made a quicky goodbye on the bus before they left for the Kumon Office. Goodbyes are always like that. I hate it. Even if it was only three days. But still, it felt really hard to let go. Maybe its because the team-building training I dont know.
The best of all the bunch is that I met a lot of new friends from the completers and the Kumon Staff. Farrah and Charmaine from Malaysia are some of the new friends I really got along while I was there. I really hope I got to meet them again.
Thanks all Kumon Associates in Malaysia. I reaaaally had a great time :D
